At roughly 2:43am Central time, I received Barack Obama’s much anticipated text message announcing his choice of Joe Biden as his running mate. The message simply states:

Barack has chosen Senator Joe Biden to be our VP nominee. Watch the first Obama-Biden rally live at 3pm ET on www.BarackObama.com. Spread the word!

Now unless you didn’t turn on the computer, TV, or radio Friday night, you probably already knew that Biden was the choice.

I’ve got to be honest, my initial reaction was, why the hell would they send this out in the middle of the night? And then it hit me… 3AM.

As in, the infamous Hillary Clinton 3AM ad…


That’s right, not only did Clinton lose the primary, she’s also not the VP, and Obama used her own ad to mock the critics of his “lack of experience.”

And Joe Biden apparently answered the call.
